Frogpants

"Amphibiously Correct" frogpants.
 
These are mounted with t-pins in a hand-made 8x8 poplar shadowbox frame. The frame is stained black and has a sturdy wire hanger on the back. Accurately sized for a leopard frog, these are highly detailed, hand-pieced, and accurately depict the colors of the frog in nature. The background is natural flax linen.
 
They are intended to emulate a mounted butterfly or exotic insect - the combination of seriousness (scientific accuracy, mounted metal bookplate with latin name, background lined with natural linen) and humor (frogpants!) makes these especially fun to display. 
 
Even frogs need pants!!
