"Ornithologically Correct" pants and footwear!
Displayed on a clothesline with tiny clothespins in a handmade poplar 8"x12" stained black shadowbox frame. Hand-painted birdhouse anchors the clothesline so the little birds can dry their clean pant and socks. The background is flax linen.
They are intended to emulate a mounted butterfly or exotic insect - the combination of seriousness (scientific accuracy, mounted metal bookplate with latin name, background lined with natural linen) and humor (Bird Laundry!) makes these especially fun to display. The frame has picture wire for hanging.
